Oklahoma Wedding Proposal Photos
Last week I pretended to take photos of geese while doing some Oklahoma wedding proposal photos at the Lake Hefner lighthouse but this week I was tucked away in a supply closet! You never know where photography will take you from day to day. I traveled up to Tulsa, Oklahoma to Living Arts Gallery. The bride to be had thrown a non profit fund raiser there the night before. Little did she know her groom had “left his jacket” in a back room. It was raining, she didn’t want to get out of the car, it was one of those almost didn’t happen kind of things but as she rounded the corner in the gallery to see a custom chalked sign listing their important dates, rose petals scattered in front of a massive window overlooking downtown Tulsa, & a little “I Love You” sign she realized he had something else in store. As they passed by my little supply closet full of paint and art supplies I just stepped out to follow them into the room. He was down to one knee before she even realized I was there. Then it came “Will You Marry Me?” I love these kind of shoots. The look of surprise and the glow of knowing that this day will change the rest of their lives is a special thing to be a part of. She said yes & in came their friends that had helped make sure she got to the right place and didn’t ware something like sweat pants. That wasn’t all the groom had in mind though! After I followed to the family home to tell mom & dad but when they arrived the house was full of friends and family. Surprise is an understatement! Check out a few of my favorites of these Oklahoma wedding proposal photos.
