A Snowy Southwind Hills Wedding
When you have a January or February wedding in Oklahoma you just have to accept that your wedding day might turn into an ice storm or a winter wonder land. Most brides just accept that fact but not this bride! I can remember at her engagement session talking about how a previous wedding we photographed at Southwind Hills in early February turned into snowy awesomeness. Unlike a lot of other brides I was super excited to hear her say “I so hope it snows!” Well, she got her wish! The day before this Southwind Hills wedding a good amount of snow fell all over the property. As we arrived I cautiously asked what she thought about it just to feel her out before trying to goat her into getting out in it with her dress on. She didn’t miss a beat saying that as soon as the dress was on lets head out in it. There is nothing a wedding photographer loves more than a bride willing to do what ever you want to get amazing images.
As you look through these beautiful images of her in the snow and the wedding party hanging out in this amazing setting I have to take a second to say how awesome the staff at this Southwind Hills wedding was. After removing the snow from the parking lot there were big drifts all around the edge of the lot. They were so quick to have one of their staff come over and clear a little walkway for us to get through so the wedding party didn’t end up in ankle deep snow. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy the rest of the wedding day with frostbitten toes!
